Project Overview
I recently worked on a local dental website with the goal of improving its visibility in Google Search and increasing its chances of attracting patients from the target service area. The main focus was not just ranking for generic dental keywords, but building a strong Local SEO strategy around the services and locations the clinic actually serves.
As an SEO Specialist, Rupam Golder handled the project with a focus on technical SEO, local keyword targeting, on-page optimization, and user-focused content.
The Main Challenges
The website had several areas that were limiting its local search performance. Some important dental service keywords were not properly targeted, service pages needed better optimization, and the website lacked strong local relevance.
Another challenge was making the content useful for real patients while still making it easy for Google to understand the services, locations, and expertise of the dental practice.
Local Keyword Research

I started with detailed keyword research based on dental services, search intent, and location-based searches. Instead of targeting only high-volume keywords, I focused on commercial and local terms such as dental services, emergency dental care, cosmetic dentistry, and location-specific searches.
Keywords were then mapped to the most relevant pages to avoid unnecessary keyword cannibalization.
Website & Technical SEO

Next, I reviewed the website structure, indexability, internal linking, URLs, metadata, headings, and other technical elements.
I also checked whether important service pages could be properly crawled and understood by search engines. Improving the overall site structure helped create a clearer path for both users and Google.
On-Page & Local Optimization
Each important service page was optimized around its primary search intent. I improved title tags, meta descriptions, headings, content structure, internal links, and local relevance.
I also strengthened location signals naturally throughout the website without keyword stuffing.
Google Business Profile & Local Signals

For stronger local visibility, I worked on Google Business Profile optimization, including business information, categories, services, descriptions, and other relevant local signals.
I also considered local citations, reviews, NAP consistency, and location relevance as part of the broader strategy.
Content & AEO Optimization
I developed content around questions potential dental patients commonly search for. This helped the website provide direct, useful answers while creating opportunities to appear for informational and long-tail searches.
Results

The project created a stronger SEO foundation, improved the website’s local relevance, and provided a clearer strategy for attracting high-intent
dental searches.
The biggest lesson from this project was simple: Local Dental SEO is not just about adding a city name to a page. It requires the right combination of technical SEO, service optimization, local signals, useful content, and consistent Google Business Profile optimization.
